Lyewood

This 15 acre site is situated in front of the new Lyewood housing development.

This is a fully funded new project and fencing work has already been carried out. Further work will include the development of a species rich grassland area, a chestnut coppice, a small wetland area, and native woodland planting. The management of the grassland area will be through light grazing of rare breeds while it is expected the coppice area will be harvested in the usual way, every 10 – 12 years.
